Meet Your Coach
Maximilian Schaffrinski,
Founder
Great to see you invest time in exploring opportunities to boost your growth! My name is Max, and I’m genuinely excited that you’re here. Let me share with you why I created PsyCoach, so you can decide if we’re a good fit.
In the past, I had the privilege of developing leaders for top companies, such as the pioneering organization for innovation in electric mobility. While these were incredible experiences, I craved a new adventure. My decision to offer coaching stems from my passion for constantly re-evaluating and redefining my own path. This drive inspired me to spark the same process in others. I firmly believe that when we take the time to critically question whether our current activities truly make us happy, we open up vast opportunities for positive change.
What sets me apart is not only my Master’s degree With Merit in Psychology, specializing in Coaching & Well-being from the Universiteit van Amsterdam, but also the extensive training I completed in psychological conversation techniques typically used in clinical settings. The integration of several powerful methods forms the core of my practice, such as the Solution-Focused Approach, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive-Behavioral Coaching. This unique foundation allows me to blend advanced therapeutic approaches with coaching strategies, offering a level of depth and expertise that is rare in the coaching field.
Whether we are working on your career, personal life, or both, you receive a tailored coaching experience grounded in both science and real-world effectiveness. I am here to help you get clear on what truly matters to you and set you up for a self-determined life, in which your day-to-day experiences are driven by your higher ambitions. Let’s connect and give power to your mind!
The Unique PsyCoach Approach
Contrasting with the prevalent approach to coaching, our process stands out due to a strong and flexible foundation built on advanced psychological methods traditionally reserved for clinical settings. Below, we provide a detailed overview of the key influences that shape PsyCoach’s methodology, each contributing to a well-rounded and effective coaching process.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing addresses difficulties in establishing new behaviors despite a desire for change. This approach enhances self-awareness by revealing how current behaviors conflict with core values, thereby fostering more sustainable behavior change and minimizing frequent setbacks.
Solution-Focused Coaching
A Solution-Focused approach is adopted when rapid progress requires bypassing extensive problem analysis in favor of actionable solutions. This methodology accelerates results by identifying and effectively leveraging available resources.
Cognitive-Behavioral Coaching
The Cognitive-Behavioral approach supports clients in identifying and challenging thought patterns that influence their behavior. Behavioral experiments test and modify dysfunctional beliefs, fostering rational thinking and breaking down steps beyond one’s comfort zone into manageable challenges.
Systemic Coaching
Systemic Coaching is best used in team environments to navigate and influence group dynamics effectively. This method encompasses physically visualizing team interactions to increase understanding of underlying, often invisible dynamics that pose obstacles to one’s goals.
Strengths-Based Coaching
By spotting Strengths and focusing on principles of Positive Psychology, clients are guided to harness their most energizing attributes. This approach enhances well-being and elevates performance, leveraging inherent abilities to achieve optimal outcomes.
Acceptance-Commitment Coaching
Utilizing Acceptance and Commitment techniques, clients are assisted in managing internal discomfort while remaining aligned with core values. This approach integrates mindfulness and value-based strategies to promote growth despite challenges.
